synthesis and evaluating of nanoporous molecularly imprinted polymers for extraction of quercetin as a bioactive component of medicinal plants

Authors
abstract

in this work, the template, monomer and cross-linker with the ratio of 1:8:40 were used to synthesize molecularly imprinted polymers (mips) for extraction of the bioactive chemical compounds from some traditional herbs as a sorbent material. quercetin, methacrylic acid (maa), trimethylolpropanetrimethacrylate (trim) and tetrahydrofuran (thf) were used as a template, functional monomer, cross-linker and porogen, respectively. polymer particles have been evaluated by atomic force microscopy (afm), field emission scan electron microscopy (fesem), transmission electron microscopy (tem) and brunauer–emmett–teller (bet). the produced nanoporous mips, with a good specific surface area 167.899 m2/g comparatively to non-imprinted polymers (nips), exhibited a good affinity to quercetin with binding capacity of 392.08 mg/g in acetonitrile-water (1:1v/v). the results showed that the mips can be used as a sorbent. thus, direct extraction of certain pharmacophoric components from herbal plants is considerable by mips technology.

Synthesis of a nanoporous molecularly imprinted polymers for dibutyl Phthalate extracted from Trichoderma Harzianum

In this study, molecularly imprinted polymers were synthesized for dibutyl phthalate as a bioactive chemical compound with antifungal activity which produced by Trichoderma Harzianum (JX1738521). The molecularly imprinted polymers were synthesized via precipitation polymerization method from methacrylic acid, dibutyl phthalate and trimetylolpropantrimethacrylate as a functional monomer, templat...

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...

extraction and characterization of allium irancum plant extract and its application in the green synthesis of silver nano particles and oxidation of thiocarbony1 compounds

Preparation of magnetic molecularly imprinted polymers for separating rutin from Chinese medicinal plants.

The preparation of magnetic molecularly imprinted polymers (MMIPs) which can be used for the separation and purification of rutin from Chinese medicinal plants has been proposed. By applying the improved co-precipitation method, magnetic Fe(3)O(4) particles were easily prepared, followed by the modification of TEOS and functionalization with -CH=CH(2). Using functionalized Fe(3)O(4) particles a...
